Steve and Lisa's Biggest Loser Challenge

Location
Interests
Hi...This is Steve and Lisa..ready for Our Biggest Loser Challenge. We have been together for 15 years and have 4 beautiful children, but have never taken that walk down the aisle. Our reasons for entering the Biggest Loser's contest is to help each other become healthier people. Steve has been disabled due to a back injury for the last 7 years and no surgeon will attempt to fix the injury until he losses weight. Since the injury he has developed an enlarged heart, and diabetes due to his weight problem. I (Lisa) have been so concerned about Steve's health problems that I have over looked my weight issues and what is going on with my own health. If we continue I am affraid of our children being left with no parents, all due to weight.

Also, losing weight would also help with self esteem. We are 32 years old and should be out having fun with life. Due to us being over weight we don't go out, and experience the fun activites with our children.

Weigh In Day (and needing some help)

We are still here...Just fell off the wagon for a couple weeks.  During the last couple weeks we have really been struggling with cheating and not working out as much.  Steve did lose 4 pounds and I lost 2 pounds over the last two weeks.  It is funny that we only worked out 3 days a week instead of 6, cheated in moderation and have felt sooooo horrible about ourselves.  When for the last 10 years we ate what ever we wanted, never worked out and didn't think anything of it.

I am calling on all you out there to help get my butt  back in gear.  Steve has managed to get back on track over the last couple days, but I am still REALLY STRUGGLING.  I start out every morning eating healthy, by lunch I am cheating a bit, and come dinner I am eat anything and everything.  Steve is then trying to get me to workout and I am so stuffed and feeling miserable that I don't want to move at all.  I need some support over the next week or so, anyone who is willing to help with words of advice PLEASE get in touch with me.

Day 92 (Thirteenth Weigh In)

Sorry for the late update.  We did weigh in yesterday.  No loss for me, I did expect this seeing that I just got back into my work out routine on Sunday.  Not enough days in for a loss.  I am looking foward to next week.  Steve lost 3 pounds...he is now fitting into a size 38 pants.  We are very confused when it comes to the winners of the contest.  Some people say the winners have been picked and some say they haven't yet????Sarcastic  If anyone has a definate answer about the winners please let us know!!

Day 86 (Twelvth Weigh In)

We actually weighed ourselved on Wednesday...our normal weigh in day and Steve lost 2 pounds and I lost 1 pound.  I was a very stressfull work week and I was unable to get it posted online.  I would come home exhausted!!!  I think this had alot to do with me only losing 1 pound.  I have been going 14 days straight with only getting 6 hours sleep a night (maybe 7 a couple here and there)  I have not had any energy or strength to work out.  I have planned nothing for the weekend and I am going to sleep and get my  body back on track.  I do really miss working out at night.   As for Steve he is really going strong.  He has continued his workouts every night with out me. I know he would really like me back to working out with him...he has mentioned several times he isn't enjoying it as much alone.  Well I will definately get our website back to being updated on Wednesday's....

Day 77 (Eleventh Weigh In)

Steve is withering away.  I haven't seen him this small in about 10 years.  He lost another 2 pounds this week.  YAHOO!!  I am very excited about my 2 pound loss this week...since I had no loss last week...and I also had a major cheat day on last Wednesday.  Shocking my system did work but I will be extremely nervous if I have to try it again.  It was EXTREMELY hard to get back to being good again.  I did try to get Steve to cheat with me and he wasn't tempted, he is being such a good boy.  I did manage to drop another pant size I am able to fit comfortably into a 16.  I started out in January a size 20.

Day 70 (Tenth Weigh In)

Steve had a GREAT week with a loss of 4 pounds.  I didn't lose any pounds. Sad  I did take Bob's advice from lastnight and had a cheat day to try to shock my syst gem.  The only problem is I only wanted to have a few extra calories, but found myself craving through out the day and continuing to cheat. Confused I don't think I will do a cheat day again!!!  It is to hard to stop once you start.  I will DEFINATLY get right back on track tomorrow.  Steve is continuing to do so well with pounds coming off.  I do hate that weight loss is so much easier for men...but I am estatic for his transformation.
